Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-R (Grade IF) is a multifunctional oil treatment reagent that combines the properties of a demulsifier, a corrosion inhibitor, and an agent for suppressing sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB). The product is used in a wide range of oil gathering and treatment systems, including those handling high-paraffin crudes.
The reagent is designed for pipeline demulsification and the breaking of oil-water emulsions, while simultaneously protecting equipment against corrosive and biogenic damage. Prolonged use in oil gathering systems reduces SRB contamination levels and biogenic hydrogen sulfide content, thereby lowering the risk of pitting corrosion.
The demulsifier’s mechanism of action relies on breaking the interfacial film between oil and water, accelerating coalescence, and facilitating the separation of the aqueous phase. Inhibiting components reduce the corrosivity of the medium, while the bactericidal effect suppresses the growth of the biocenosis responsible for H₂S generation.
Using NAPOR-R (Grade IF) to treat production wells helps lower emulsion viscosity, reduce paraffin deposits, and increase well productivity. This combined effect helps reduce the frequency of major workovers and optimize operating costs.
Using this reagent as a combined demulsifier and corrosion inhibitor allows for up to 15% savings in reagent consumption compared to using separate products.
NAPOR-R IF is used in the oilfields of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the Ulyanovsk Region, and the Komi Republic, where it has proven to be a reliable reagent for challenging operating conditions.
