Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-R Grade IK-2 is a versatile, oil-soluble demulsifier designed for the effective breaking of water-in-oil emulsions during oil treatment.
The product is used for the dehydration and desalting of a wide range of crude oils, handling everything from low-viscosity to high-viscosity and highly stable emulsions. Its effectiveness stems from an optimal active base composition (44% ±10%) that ensures the stable breakdown of the oil-water interfacial film.
The demulsifier functions by reducing interfacial tension and destabilizing the protective layers surrounding water droplets, thereby accelerating coalescence and the separation of the aqueous phase. Simultaneously, inhibitory components reduce the corrosive impact on pipelines and equipment within the oil gathering system.
NAPOR-R IK-2 has a kinematic viscosity of less than 60 mm²/s at 20°C and remains fluid at temperatures as low as –50°C (Siberian region) and –40°C (Ural-Volga and Southern regions). The standard dosage is 20 g per tonne of oil, with the exact amount determined through laboratory and field pilot tests.
The reagent has been successfully used in industrial operations at facilities belonging to PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Rosneft, PJSC LUKOIL, JSC Tomskneft VNK, and other enterprises in Western Siberia.
