Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-R Grade IK-1M is a modified, universal demulsifier reagent designed to effectively break down water-in-oil emulsions under conditions of low ambient temperatures and unstable processing regimes.
Grade IK-1M is distinguished by a higher active ingredient content—45% (±10%)—which enhances its demulsifying action and accelerates the water separation process. The reagent is used for both in-line demulsification and direct application at oil treatment facility inlets (at concentrations starting from 20 g per tonne of oil), demonstrating stable performance in low-temperature demulsification. The effective operating dosage is determined based on the results of laboratory and field trials.
The demulsifier’s mechanism of action involves breaking down the interfacial film surrounding water droplets, reducing interfacial tension, and accelerating coalescence. This enables an effective reduction in the residual water content of the oil and improves the quality of the marketable product.
NAPOR-R IK-1M remains fluid at temperatures as low as –50°C (for the Siberian region) and –40°C (for the Ural-Volga and Southern regions). Its kinematic viscosity at 20°C is less than 60 mm²/s.
The reagent has undergone industrial field testing at facilities operated by PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Rosneft, PJSC LUKOIL, JSC Tomskneft VNK, and other enterprises in Western Siberia.
