Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-KB acid corrosion inhibitor is designed to inhibit hydrochloric acid and suppress sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB). It is used with hydrochloric acid solutions containing 15% to 30% hydrogen chloride. The product is infinitely soluble in hydrochloric acid across various concentrations.
At dosage rates of 1 to 10 kg/t, it reduces steel corrosion rates by more than 99% in hydrochloric acid solutions of the specified concentrations. At an inhibitor concentration of 0.5%, the steel corrosion rate at 20°C in HCl solution (24% or less) is below 0.20 g/m²·h.
NAPOR-KB can be used to protect downhole equipment from corrosion following acid treatments and to suppress SRB in the near-wellbore zone of injection and production wells. Dosage rates range from 40–50 g/m³ of fluid for planktonic forms to 100–200 g/m³ for sessile (adhered) SRB forms, depending on the activity index and the degree of SRB contamination at the site.
The product is a composition of ionic and non-ionic surfactants in an aliphatic solvent and contains no components that adversely affect oil refining processes.
It is manufactured in accordance with Technical Specifications (TU) 2458-022-12966038-2006 (Amendments 1–6).
