Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-KB-3 is an acid corrosion inhibitor and bactericide designed to protect steel equipment during operations involving hydrochloric acid and to suppress the activity of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB). It is used to inhibit hydrochloric acid solutions with HCl concentrations ranging from 15% to 30% during acid treatments and other technological processes. It is fully soluble in hydrochloric acid of various concentrations, forming a stable inhibited system.
At dosage rates of 1 to 10 kg/t, it reduces the steel corrosion rate by more than 99% in the specified solutions. At an inhibitor concentration of 0.5%, the steel corrosion rate at 20°C in an HCl solution (15% or less) is 0.20 g/m²·h.
NAPOR-KB-3 is used for the anti-corrosion protection of equipment following acid treatments, as well as for treating the near-wellbore zone of injection and production wells to suppress SRB (dosage rate: 100–150 g/m³ of fluid).
The product is a composition of ionic and non-ionic surfactants in an aliphatic solvent. It is characterized by a low pour point (no higher than −40°C), enabling its use in low-temperature operating conditions.
It is manufactured in accordance with Technical Specifications (TU) 2458-022-12966038-2006 (Amendments No. 1–6).
