Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-ISO-004 is a multi-component scale inhibitor designed to prevent the formation of carbonate (CaCO₃), sulfate (CaSO₄, BaSO₄), and halite deposits in oilfield systems. It is used during oil production, processing, and transportation, particularly in environments with high formation water mineralization.
The reagent is a phosphonic acid-based composition with targeted inhibitory action in complex saline environments. The NAPOR-ISO-004 formula features a high concentration of active ingredients, ensuring robust inhibition of scale formation in systems with high salt concentrations and intensive operating conditions.
The product retains its fluidity and effectiveness at low ambient temperatures—down to –50°C—making it suitable for use in northern regions and at facilities subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations. NAPOR-ISO-004 is highly soluble in mineralized water and disperses evenly in oil, ensuring stable distribution of the reagent within process streams.
The inhibitor exhibits low corrosivity toward carbon steel, allowing for its use in continuous or batch dosing systems without the risk of accelerated equipment wear. The composition contains no organochlorine compounds above detection limits and complies with industrial safety requirements.
The ISO-004 grade is used in well stock, oil gathering manifolds, reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) systems, and other oilfield equipment where high-efficiency scale inhibition is required amidst high formation water mineralization.
