Purpose and scope of application
NAPOR-ISO-002 is a multi-component scale inhibitor designed to prevent the formation of carbonate, sulfate, and halite deposits in oilfield equipment, particularly under conditions of high formation water salinity and demanding operational environments.
The reagent is a phosphonic acid-based composition with an enhanced concentration of active ingredients. This formulation allows NAPOR-ISO-002 to effectively inhibit the crystallization of calcium and barium salts and reduce the growth rate of existing deposits on equipment surfaces.
NAPOR-ISO-002 is used to protect equipment throughout the entire oilfield production cycle:
- in the near-wellbore formation zone;
- in production and injection well systems;
- in flowlines and oil gathering manifolds;
- during oil processing and transportation.
The reagent is adapted for use in systems with high formation water salinity and remains effective at ambient temperatures as low as –50°C, making it suitable for northern regions and areas with harsh climates.
Physicochemical and operational characteristics
NAPOR-ISO-002 is supplied as a homogeneous liquid ranging in color from colorless to brown, with no tendency to separate. Its high density and increased non-volatile content ensure stable inhibition performance at lower dosage rates compared to standard grades.
The reagent:
- is fully soluble in saline water;
- disperses effectively in oil;
- exhibits low corrosivity toward carbon steel;
- contains no organochlorine compounds.
Controlled viscosity at operating temperatures facilitates the dosing and injection of the reagent into oilfield systems, including both continuous and batch injection setups.
NAPOR-ISO-002 is compatible with most reagents used in oil production, such as demulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, and biocides. The dosing regimen is determined based on the ionic composition of the formation water, temperature, and the hydrodynamic conditions of the specific site.
