Purpose and scope of application
Amfikor K corrosion inhibitor is a water-soluble reagent based on salts of nitrogen- and phosphorus-containing compound derivatives in an organic solvent. It is designed to protect oilfield equipment from corrosion during operation in highly mineralized environments containing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.
It is used in oil gathering and transportation systems to protect water pipelines, oil gathering manifolds, and other equipment. It is dosed into oil-water emulsions or produced water at concentrations of 15–50 g/m³, depending on operating conditions. In a standard solution of mineralized formation water containing H₂S and CO₂, it provides a protective efficiency of at least 90% at a dosage of 25 mg/dm³.
In oil production operations, it is applied via periodic batch treatment of the well annulus 1–2 times a month, calculated at 50–100 g/m³ of the daily fluid volume. In addition to corrosion protection, its use can result in a 15–20% increase in daily well flow rates.
At temperatures around +10°C, it reduces the viscosity of oil-water emulsions by a factor of 2–4 without disrupting their structure, which can lead to lower internal pipeline pressure during transportation. It exhibits a synergistic effect with various demulsifiers, allowing for the optimization of their dosage rates.
Amfikor K does not adversely affect oil treatment processes or the quality of commercial oil and its refined products.
It is manufactured in accordance with Technical Specifications (TU) 20.59.59-004-12966038-2019 (including Amendments No. 1–2).
