JSC NAPOR has developed the multi-action reagent ALCID.
The development of the "ALTSID" reagent was featured in the business publication RBC. The article sparked interest within the professional community in this new product from JSC NAPOR, designed to protect oilfield equipment against microbiological activity and aggressive, sulfur-rich environments.
NAPOR JSC, a domestic manufacturer and supplier of chemical reagents for the oil production industry, has developed a production technology for an innovative, multi-functional inhibitor designed to protect oilfield equipment. The new product has been named "ALCID."
As Natalia Ivanova, General Director of NAPOR JSC, noted, ALCID is used in reservoir pressure maintenance systems, oil extraction and processing operations, and for the antibacterial treatment of productive formations, kill fluids, and drilling muds.
One of the product's key advantages over similar offerings is its broad spectrum of action. The reagent ensures 100% suppression of both planktonic and adherent (biofilm-forming) bacterial forms—including sulfate-reducing bacteria, which are particularly detrimental to oil extraction—at low concentrations (150–200 g/m³). At the same time, it acts as a corrosion inhibitor in environments containing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide (providing at least 90% corrosion protection at dosages as low as 25 mg/dm³) and reduces the viscosity of oilfield fluids. Consequently, ALCID can replace several different reagents simultaneously.

"Another key characteristic of ALCID is its environmental and technical safety. Its composition is free from organochlorine compounds (OCCs) and quaternary ammonium salts capable of decomposing to form OCCs. Furthermore, the inhibitor has a low pour point—down to -50°C—making it suitable for use in harsh climatic conditions. We are now fully prepared to launch mass production and begin deliveries to customers. Negotiations with a number of enterprises are already underway," added Natalia Ivanova.
